Finding your Author Voice
In school you learn to write by all the rules. The rules of style and the rules of your instructor. All these rules can bury your author voice. Cindy Bennett gives you the inside information on how to bring that voice back out so you’re not lost in a crowd of monotone.
It was a pleasure to have Cindy on the show. Here’s a little more about her:
Bennett lives a most unglamorous life in the beautiful state of Utah. She is the author of several YA books in many subgenres. She’s the mom of two daughters, two sons, a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law, not to mention the three dogs and two grandbabies. She loves gooey cookies, dark chocolate, and cheesy popcorn. She hates housework and cooking, and has no plans to become a domestic goddess. Her favorite pastime—other than writing—is riding her Harley. She’s also co-owner of Creative Prose Publishing, and both edits and formats books on the side. She’s still wondering why, with all of this going on, that she decided to go back to school full time.
